We’ve got the answers

You need to show at least LKR 900,000 in financial backing (excluding university fees). Additionally, expect monthly living expenses of around EUR 450–500 (approximately LKR 175,000) covering accommodation, food, and travel. We encourage students to have family financial support as part-time work is not always easy to find.

Yes, there are recommended age limits for admissions:
  • Foundation Programs – under 25
  • Bachelor’s Degrees – under 28 (applications over this age may face restrictions)
  • Master’s Degrees – under 40
  • PhD Programs – under 50

  • Bachelor’s & Foundation: At least A/L results (even with 3 fails, as long as the exam was attempted).
  • Master’s: A completed 3–4 year Bachelor’s degree (HNDs and diplomas are not accepted).
  • PhD: A Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least one publication.

An IELTS score of 5.5 or higher is required. Please note that PTE is not accepted.

JL4 handles all legalisation of documents with teams in both Italy and Sri Lanka. We also assist with university applications (with no cap on the number you can apply to), interview preparation, and entrance exam prep including TOLC-I, TOLC-E, TOLC-F, IMAT, and UniCamillus exams. After graduation, it is relatively easy to transition from a student visa to a work permit by signing an employment contract. Italy offers one of the smoother pathways to post-study work opportunities compared to other countries. Citizenship can be applied for after 10 years of residence.
